Leadership Safety and Health Awareness Day: In Review

  

 

A popular and informative event, this Autumn SHAD was focused on the movement of goods. Key speakers during the day included Andrew Bowker - HSE, Joy Graham - NASS, and Ronald Arnott from the DVSA.

 

The event, targeted at senior professionals within the industry was well received, with over 70 delegates in attendance from 17 different British Precast member companies.

 

Andrew Minson, Executive Director at British Precast commented:
"Our Safety and Health Awareness Days are a key event for the industry, and rightly so. A sound Health and Safety policy should be at the forefront of every company. This Autumn event raises awareness to those in senior positions of key topics which should be on every employer's radar. We hope that this awareness will lead to improvements in health and safety practice at work."

Topics covered included loading and securing, training engagement principles, commercial vehicle collisions and the safe handling and distribution of finished precast concrete elements.
